Erik’s first school trip
In Erik’s second week in his new kindergarten he also already went on his first school trip – to Blauberg Strand.
Of the 12 kids only 6 attended the outing so we had a nice small group of children and adults enjoying the lovely weather and sea breeze.
Erik had the most fun bringing handfuls of wet sand and dumping them on my feet – accompanied by my horrified shrieks and pleas for mercy of course.
Yoghurt BreastES
Ever since Erik watched me breastfeed Lilly he has been fascinated with my breasts and what they can do.
Every time he sees me naked he starts to stare and wants to know how milk can come out of them.
The other day we had one of our breast-chats I told him that most women in fact have much bigger breasts than his Mommy! Erik’s reply to that was “Why?” which in Erik means “give me more information on this topic”. So I gestured bigger breasts in front of my chest and said “Like this” accompanied by a – what I can only describe as a “growling” sound – which I probably adopted from my comical hubby.
Erik watched fascinated and then asked what I’d made that sound for …
Mmmm …
Anyway, that evening, as I was packing groceries into the fridge, Erik suddenly called “Mommy, look! Yoghurt breastes!”
Then he explained how with yoghurt breastes yoghurt comes out of the breasts. Eh, breastES.
I tried to get him to explain this to the camera:
Hi, I’m Erik.
I’m three years old and I can do incredible things.
I can plant greeting cards and make flowers grow from them. (Proof in later post)
I am also very creative and like to draw. Everywhere.
I’d do anything for my little sister – including paint her room with my creations. Her wall …
… her chair, …
As you can see I also clean up after myself. Anything but my creations of course.
I prefer the floor, the windows, …
I can even multitask. Like put a peanut in my nose while cleaning. And find out that the metal curtain tie back doesn’t hold my weight.
Anyway. Most of all I love my little sister. Most of the time. She is my favorite toy! And a geek like me.
Hey Ducky!
First of all:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Nobbi!!
We can’t wait to celebrate with you in only two weeks time!
I’ve been so lazy about blogging, but for my dear father
I will at least post a few pictures of the grandchildren today. I know that’s all it takes to make you happy!
Soooo … here is Lilly. And Barney.
This is significant because it is actually Erik’s Barney. But Erik is in Kindergarten …
and Lilly loves Barney SOOO much!
In fact Lilly gave Erik Barney as a present when she first came home from hospital.
In those days Erik was the Barney fan.
Anyway, Erik really is a great big brother. A few days ago he finally announced that Lilly can keep his Barney. Lucky and happy Lilly!
The following was taken today. One of Erik’s favorite pastimes is playing DJ for Lilly.
One of Lilly’s favorite pastimes is trying on and wearing hats. This afternoon I gave in and simply put all hats into a box for her to play with. Erik soon joined in the fun.
