Tired?
Poor Lilly is having a difficult time at the moment. Her morning nap has always been her favorite. Unfortunately if she naps then, she’s not tired for her Siesta together with Erik plus she gets terribly grumpy in the late afternoon and at supper time.
Thus we have dropped her beloved morning nap. Now she has a GREAT Siesta, is in a super mood until bedtime, BUT gets horribly grumpy in the late morning and lunch time looks like this …
It’s Spring , …
… I’ve got Spring energy, so let’s blog!
I’ve got so many pictures and videos that I must not waste too many words.
So here we go – first of all for Nobbi: here’s our Bougainvilla on our balcony. Fortunately I do NOT have to cringe with shame at this inquiry
Besides this beauty mostly everything else is also blooming and if not blooming then at least it’s growing – like weeds. Oh yes, and the weeds are also growing.
Our wall will be hidden soon, …
… lillies (and cats), …
.. I love the smell of this groundcover (not going to waste time looking up the name now, but it always reminds me of the garden route), …
… weeds, …
… and our vine.
Saturday Erik “graduated” from Moms&Tots with a visit to the zoo (about 15 minutes from us). I get all sentimental when I think about it – he told me he doesn’t want it to be “the last time” and that he wants to continue going to Marilette. Sniff …
Anyway, Spring is just as busy there as it is here of course.
Here’s Lilly admiring the zebras and springboks.
Lilly liking the black swan.
Erik and Lilly really liked this monkey …
…although he also found it a bit scary.
In the end I think he liked the “bokkies” best.
Look at these lovely blossoms!
South Africa’s national bird, the Blue Crane.
I still love tortoises!
Lat week I took Anja for a nice walk in the vineyards.
Ag, I just love Guinea Fowls!

More Lillies.
More vines.
Lots of wild flowers.
Anja taking a dip.
Saturday night Erik and Daddy were going to camp upstairs.
But in the end Erik just ended up in his own bed again – MUCH later than usual.
And last, but not least here’s Erik at Blauberg Strand yesterday. The two of us spent some very nice hours there!
Oh, me, oh, my, it’s half past four and the kids are still napping. Must run and wake them. BYE!
Same same, but different …
I’ve been so lazy about blogging lately, but today I felt I really needed to take a picture or video of SOMETHING before my parents start complaining!
So what could I POSSIBLY show you??
How about for – a change – my two cutiepies?
Remember two years ago …

Now it’s time for part two of the saga. Erik is back! And this time he unites with his SISTER on their mission to turn the kitchen into a war zone and drive their mother crazy!
Interesting is also how Lilly now knows EXACTLY what she wants and what she doesn’t want. And she sure tells you all about it.
Gone are the days of adoring her brother. Now she’s got HIM begging to play with her. Who would have thought?
I almost forgot …
… to post this lovely picture of Lilly and her (South African) Oupa!
Thank you for the nice surprise visit!!
A (Family) Dog’s Life
Our Anja has grown up to be a beautiful dog with strong nerves and great patience!
Here I had to save her. Hence the abrupt ending
Look at me!
I got a hat!
Our little clown (no 2)

Monster Knees
With the help of some felt, thread, needle and red fabric (oh – and some sewing skills I acquired in primary school) I actually managed to do something quite creative today!
The other day I’d read a post on another Mommy-blog on how to make Monster-Knee-Patches. I loved the idea – much better than throwing Erik’s old jeans into the bin.
What do you think? Erik is much happier about it than he looks
He’s just a bit camera shy.
