Never overestimate the distance …
… between a baby and a dog poo – on a slope!
Visiting Nan
My harddrive is full. This means I can’t transfer anything from my camera to my pc which means I need Glenn’s external harddrive which is also full, so he must transfer first so I can transfer and make space for footage for this blog!
There.
But thank goodness I’ve still got a few things up my sleeve! Like our visit to Glenn grandmother last Sunday. Here we are with Nan!
There goes my baby
Lately I often get very sentimental when I look at my Lilly and think that these are the last days of her babyhood. On Lilly’s birthday I met another mother and her little boy. The boy was one day younger than Lilly, but he already was such a little BOY! So much hair and altogether a toddler.
I’m so glad that Lilly’s still got her beautiful baby down on her head, her chubby little cheeks and legs…
I just love those dimples and the soft head, the tiny fat fingers with the teeny finger nails …
And I LOVE a baby in a soft one-piece pyjama. There’s nothing cuddlier!
That’s why I asked Glenn yesterday to quickly take a picture of her – before our baby says bye bye to babyhood.
Sibling fun (for a change)
Erik is very jealous of Lilly at the moment and this evening I could for the first time observe how Lilly in return complained loudly and actively when her brother tried to take over her bedtime cuddle and reading with Mama again.
But there are also very peaceful moments when Erik really enjoys his little sister. Sometimes he seems surprised himself that she can actually be fun!
Finally
Books play an important role in our family as we all love to read and be read to. Funny that the only thing that after over two years in our house still didn’t have a place was our books.
Originally we’d dreamed of putting in high built-in shelves all around the little room upstairs, but now we decided to just put up our old IKEA shelves!
Too bad only that once this decision was made we couldn’t find the pins that hold the shelves up.
Luckily I have incredibly supportive and efficient parents that took care of this problem RIGHT away and a week later we not only received two little parcels, but also finally had our “library”.
Now we only need a nice rug to cover the spots and maybe a picture or two and we have a wonderful new place to read, chill and play in.
Care to join us for a walk?
Highlight: walking in puddles!
We can also …
… watch the stream flow, …
…run!, …
… watch the duck family, …
… watch Anja doing funny things, …
… sit on tree trunks, …
… and – to round things up – WALK IN PUDDLES!
Peekaboo and a sneaky cameraman
I was playing peekaboo with Lilly this morning when Erik came to tell me …
… about how he was helping Geraldine.
Later I tried to take a video of Lilly when SOMEBODY sneakily took over filming. WHO could this be???
